Hi and Welcome!

My name is Kathy Brown and I am the Owner of New Day Bookkeeping Services, LLC. When I am not in the office, I enjoy boating and kayaking on the lake and spending time with family, friends, and my rescue dog, Daisy. She loves to kayak with me in the mornings. It is our way to begin the day in peaceful nature.

I earned my BS in Accounting/Business Management and have worked in the accounting field for over 30 years, beginning as a Full Charge Bookkeeper and progressed to CFO/Controller over that span of time. I continue to grow my services by expanding my knowledge each year. I continually take classes on tax law , re-certify each year as a QuickBooks Advanced Pro Advisor, Xero Advisor, Hubdoc Advanced Partner, T-Sheets Pro Tech, as well as other areas of expertise. So, yes you can teach an old dog new tricks! Lol!

When I started New Day, I had reached a point where I wanted to use my education, passion and experience to partner with entrepreneurs to really know where their company stands financially and be able to grow their business in a healthy direction. 

Each business is unique and therefore we can’t put everyone in a standard bookkeeping package. When we have our first consultation, I want to get to know you and what your vision is before we even begin to look at the numbers. From there, as a team, we can develop the perfect bookkeeping system that is the right fit for you. I have developed a system using an Excel spreadsheet customized for a company just starting out on a tight budget, to a complete accounting system for a large company and everywhere in-between. By customizing these systems, I was able to help a client retrieve $8k in overpaid sales tax and another from giving up just because they had no idea where they stood financially. This is the part I love the most about my business, opening up avenues and helping businesses know their numbers!

Healthy finances are what pushes a business to move forward. Many entrepreneurs have failed, not because they didn’t have a successful product or service, but because they didn’t have their finances in order to know exactly how much they had to spend. We have all seen a favorite gift shop or restaurant that was suddenly gone and we are left scratching our heads saying, but this place was always busy! They didn’t know their numbers!

Finances cause anxiety and many times we feel it is better to stick our head in the sand rather than face the facts. This is exactly how I don’t want you to feel. Come as you are, shoe box and all, I will help you relieve that frustration and worry!  I am excited when you achieve your dreams and full potential!
